Its aim is to maintain international peace and security by developing friendly relations among nations and achieving international cooperation.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, adopted by all United Nations member states in 2015, is set of goals which we all must aim for if we want to ensure peace and prosperity for people and for the planet, now and into the future.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAt its heart are the \u003Ca rel=\u0022noopener\u0022 href=\u0022https://sdgs.scout.org/take-action\u0022 target=\u0022_blank\u0022\u003E17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)\u003C/a\u003E. These goals are an urgent call for action by all countries - developed and developing - in a global partnership.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThey recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth \u2013 all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Ch3\u003EThe Scouts for SDGs project\u003C/h3\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EIn November 2018 World Chief Ambassador Bear Grylls launched Scouts for SDGs at the United Nations. The largest youth contribution to the SDGs worldwide: it\u2019s an all-hands-on-deck commitment to mobilise the helping hands of 50 million\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EScouts from around the world to make a shared impact.
