They both shared a love of knots.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EJackie Churchyard, Howard\u2019s sister, tells us: \u2018As enthusiastic knot devotees, they spent many years explaining, teaching and touring Scout and Guide Groups in their local areas, as well as going to Women\u2019s Institute (WI) groups, schools and so on, \u2013 in fact, any who would listen!\u2019\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003E\u2018Howard and Fred were regulars at Gilwell Reunions. They always had plenty of visitors eager to try knots at their stall. Sadly, Howard died in March 2015, aged 66. Shortly after, Fred passed away in June 2015, aged 93. Many will remember them and they were great Scouts.
