She leads Scouts\u0027 UK Lead Volunteers for Growth, Inclusion, Perception, Programme, Safe Scouting and Volunteering, helping to ensure that more young people can access high-quality Scouting experiences across the UK.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ECJ has volunteered with Scouts locally, nationally and internationally for more than 25 years, giving her a deep understanding of the impact Scouting has on young people, volunteers and communities. A proud Queen\u0027s Scout and former Venture Scout, she has held a wide range of leadership roles, including Assistant County Commissioner for Explorer Scouts, Assistant County Commissioner for International, Deputy County Commissioner for Growth and Scouts\u0027 first UK Commissioner for Perception.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThroughout her volunteering journey, CJ has been passionate about helping Scouts grow, evolve and remain relevant to future generations. She has attended several World Scout Jamborees, including serving on the staff team for the Centenary World Scout Jamboree hosted in the UK.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ECJ became Deputy UK Chief Volunteer in September 2021 and is Vice-Chair of the Board of Trustees\u0027 People and Culture Sub-Committee. She also leads Scouts\u0027 state and ceremonial duties for occasions of national significance. Her work has included leading Scouts\u0027 involvement in the Lying-in-State of Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, working alongside Scouts from across the Commonwealth and beyond. This contribution was recognised when the team received the Third Sector Volunteer Team of the Year Award in 2023.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EFor CJ, every young person should have the opportunity to experience the magic of Scouting.
