It provides assurance, advice and recommendations on safeguarding matters, helping to ensure that Scouts\u0027 safeguarding policies, procedures and practices remain effective, relevant and sector-leading in protecting young people.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe Committee provides strategic leadership, oversight and challenge in relation to safeguarding across Scouts. It reviews safeguarding performance, assurance activity and organisational learning, helping to ensure that safeguarding arrangements remain fit for purpose and responsive to changing risks. The Committee also considers safeguarding arrangements relating to adults where appropriate.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAs an Independent Member, you will bring your skills, experience and perspective to support the Committee\u0027s work.
