It\u0027s not just about how many members we have, it\u0027s also our chance to find out about the diversity and make up of Scouts in our communities.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EKnowing who our members are helps inform the services we provide to meet the needs of our members, so it\u0027s important you provide us with the most accurate details possible about Scouts in your community.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe youth census figures also inform the payment of the \u003Ca href=\u0022/volunteers/running-things-locally/finances-and-insurance/uk-scouts-membership-fee/\u0022 title=\u0022UK Scouts membership fee\u0022\u003EUK HQ Membership Fee\u003C/a\u003E and associated membership fees at each level of the movement.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Ch3\u003EGetting more help with the census\u003C/h3\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EWe\u2019ve written guides for each of the census return types and also have FAQs to help answer any questions you have. There will be no changes to youth and governance data. This will still need to be collected and input on the census system.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ETo help you prepare, there are a couple of actions you can take now:\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp style=\u0022padding-left: 40px;\u0022\u003E\u2022\u0026nbsp; Make sure your Group/Section data is correct on My Membership \u2013 including recording any which have opened or closed.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp style=\u0022padding-left: 40px;\u0022\u003E\u2022\u0026nbsp; Think about the youth data and make sure your local records are up to date.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp style=\u0022padding-left: 40px;\u0022\u003E\u2022\u0026nbsp; Complete your own profile on My Membership and encourage other volunteers to do this too \u2013 make sure roles are up to date and personal data is submitted.
