Within it, each Raft has its own group.\u00A0\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThis is where:\u00A0\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ERaft Leaders share updates;\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ECST members answer questions;\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EYou can chat, support each other, and build connections.\u00A0\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003C/ul\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EJoin the IST WhatsApp Community, then request to join your named Raft group. You can find which Raft you belong to, based on your County/ Region/ Nation, at the top of this page.\u00A0\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EIf you can\u2019t use WhatsApp, don\u2019t worry, key information will still be shared by email, so you won\u2019t miss out on any exciting news and updates.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Ch4\u003ESafeguarding\u00A0\u003C/h4\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EAll communication should take place within the designated group chats only. All members of the WhatsApp group should be aware that some IST members may be under the age of 18 during the period leading up to the WSJ. To protect the privacy of participants, members will not necessarily know who within the group is under 18. Communication should therefore be conducted on the basis that young people may be present in any group chat. To help keep communication transparent and safe, all communication should take place within the designated group channels. Direct or private messaging between Raft members should not be used. If a direct message is received, the recipient should redirect the conversation to the appropriate group chat and ensure that a member of the CST is included in any response. Participants should not engage in ongoing private conversations through direct messaging. A Raft Leader will be a friendly face for IST in their Raft in the run up to the Jamboree. Raft Leaders are a local contact who is also IST and can facilitate get togethers for their Raft alongside answering local Scouting or general Jamboree questions. \u00A0\u00A0\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003ERaft Leaders should be your main point of contact for Jamboree related questions. Any communication should take place through the raft group\u0027s channels rather than through private messages.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Ch3\u003ERaft Badge Guidelines\u00A0\u003C/h3\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EMany Rafts choose to design a badge to help build identity and community.
