{"alias":"contentPage","byline":null,"standfirst":null,"content":{"layouts":[{"type":"sidebar","areas":[{"items":[{"gridType":"RichTextBlock","content":"\u003Cp\u003EThe welfare of children and young people is our priority and everyone has a duty to report safeguarding concerns directly to the UK HQ Safeguarding Team, in line with the Safeguarding Code of Conduct for Adults (Yellow Card)\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThis makes sure that the team is aware of concerns as soon as possible and can put measures in place to minimise risks to children, young people and adults at risk.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EA safeguarding concern could be about:\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cul\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EA breach of the \u003Ca href=\u0022/volunteers/staying-safe-and-safeguarding/safe-scouting-cards/safeguarding-code-of-conduct-for-adults-yellow-card/\u0022 title=\u0022Young People First - Yellow Card\u0022\u003EYellow Card\u003C/a\u003E or \u003Ca href=\u0022/volunteers/staying-safe-and-safeguarding/safe-scouting-cards/scouting-and-alcohol/\u0022 title=\u0022Scouting and alcohol\u0022\u003EGreen Card\u003C/a\u003E.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EPolice or statutory agency involvement regarding a member.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003EA welfare concern.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003Cli\u003ESuspicions that a child could be at risk of harm.\u003C/li\u003E\n\u003C/ul\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EYou must report concerns as soon as possible (always within 24 hours), whether you are told about them directly or indirectly. If you\u0027re not sure what to do, or you\u0027re not sure if a concern has been reported, contact the UK HQ Safeguarding Team.\u003C/p\u003E\n\u003Cp\u003EThe UK HQ Safeguarding team will give advice, support and guidance from the moment you report a concern.
